A major Nigerian publisher, Quida Books, has announced that ‘The Beautiful Side of The Moon’ by Leye Adenle will be released on February 5, 2022. On the publisher’s official Twitter handle, a cover reveal was tweeted, showcasing the stunning work of illustrator Raymond Isibor.

Late last year, crime author Leye Adenle had revealed exclusively to GeekAfrique that he has a sci-fi/fantasy book coming out, to be published by Ouida Books.

Then Adenle had described the upcoming book as a thriller. He said: “There are dark forces and forces for good, but like in all good stories, the lines are often blurred and it’s up to the reader to decide (ahead of the ending) who the real baddie is. In this story, nothing is really as it seems.”

On a series of tweets, an official synopsis was offered:

“It’s a regular day at the bank and IT worker Osaretin finds a cryptic note on his desk that sends his world into overdrive. Looming over the narrative is the shadow of a father he never knew, but whose gift to him he must now possess to defeat rampaging forces that threaten all he holds dear. Is Osaretin really who they say he is? Can he trust his companions amidst all the smoke and mirrors? Is he The One? ‘The Beautiful Side Of The Moon’ is a fantastical adventure filled with weird and wonderful characters and richly-imagined landscapes.”

Adenle is a famous writer of crime fiction. Among his most popular works are ‘Easy Motion Tourist’ and ‘When Trouble Sleeps’ – both published by Cassava Republic Press.
