All-new Dark Horse/YouNeek book ‘WindMaker’ debuts stunning cover

Roye Okupe, the creator of YouNeek Studios, has announced his studio’s first all-new title co-published by Dark Horse Comics, WindMaker Volume 1. He also shared the stunning cover art for the book, due out in April 2022. The cover (below) is by the usual duo of Sunkanmi Akinboye and Godwin Akpan, and is done in an ethereal, painterly style that has come to typify the covers of indie darling YouNeek Studios.

‘WindMaker’ is gathering steam, and is one of the most buzzed-about new releases of the coming year. Okupe advised fans to mark their calendars and pre-order here.

The synopsis for ‘WindMaker’ goes:

“After an unprecedented era of peace and prosperity, the fictional West African nation Atala is thrust into an era of unrest and dysfunction after their beloved president turns vicious dictator. With the country on the brink of civil war, the WindMaker—an ancient hero of the Atalians— mysteriously returns in what appears to be an effort to save his people. The only problem is that his spirit is reincarnated into the last person anyone expects to help—the president’s head of security.”

Sounds like a great mix of politics, drama, and superheroics.

‘WindMaker Vol.1’, from Dark Horse and YouNeek Studios, will be released on the 2^nd of April, 2022.
